Rough Sunstone Ring - Size 7 US
The name "sunstone" is used for specimens of translucent to transparent feldspar that produce bright metallic flashes when light interacts with tiny plate-like mineral inclusions within the stone. These inclusions are mainly copper, but sometimes sunstone can include hematite, that gives them extra sheen and colors. These mineral inclusions usually have a common orientation, and light entering the stone reflects from them at a common angle. This produces a flash of light in the eye of the observer who views them at the proper angle. This optical phenomenon is known as "aventurescence." Sunstone occurs in a range of colors that begins with colorless and ranges through yellow, orange, and red. The color is determined, in part, by the abundance and size of the copper platelets within the stone.

How to measure your size:
Use a piece of string or dental floss and wrap it around the base of your finger. Use a pen to mark the point on the string where the end meets and measure the string. Look at a ring size chart and choose the closest measurements to find your ring size.
Things you should consider when choosing your size:
* Allow enough room to accommodate your knuckle (I suggest to measure your finger and also the knuckle, and choose a size in between, otherwise the ring won’t pass the knuckle or it will be too loose)
* Bear in mind, different fingers on the same and the opposite hand may have different sizes (the hand with which you write is usually bigger). Therefore, measure the specific finger on which you are planning to wear the ring. Also, your hands are affected by temperature so sometimes your hands are bigger when it’s hotter!
* don’t forget that a piece of string/paper may feel comfortable, but a piece of metal may not, so if you’re not sure, go to a professional jeweler and get your ring seized for free
The piece has been oxydized for extra contrast.
