The 'Pretty Deadly' Collection
'The Poison Garden' Locket Necklace‘The Poison Garden’ is a unique piece that features a gate that, like a portal, transports you to the deadliest section of the botanic garden. It is protected by silver gates, covered in Datura plants, that like guards, they try to ward off the inexpert curious eyes. Although the side walls are covered in tiny wisteria blossoms, the back wall of the garden reminds us of its deadly contents, with Datura covered walls and the carved inscription ‘’mors vincit omnia’’. Inside there’s Arum Italicum, convallaria majalis (lily of the valley), belladonna, aconite and digitalis. There are also a few books about herbs, plants and poison-making, perhaps that’s what’s inside the little glass bottles scattered around. This piece was inspired by the Alnwick poison garden and its gates. The piece is adorned by two stunning moonstones.

The Apothecary 'Herbalist in Training' NecklaceAnother one of a kind apothecary necklace from my ongoing series. This piece is inspired by the different stages of an herbalist and features a stunning moonstone. At some point in their journey, every herbalist needs to study the darkest plants of this earth. When they're at this stage of learning, they are very easy to spot. You can almost always find them huddled on top of an old manuscript of some kind, depicting myth and lore of every type of poisonous, deadly or carnivore plant out there. Then the experimenting comes. Their normal flowers get swapped for deadly ones, they fill all the plant pots. Their shelves become full of very suspicious ''brews''. Each concoction, be it a potion, a tincture or a salve, has some kind of deadly substance.

The Apothecary 'Dark Herbalism' NecklaceThis Apothecary necklace features labradorite and is inspired by the darkest corners of a herbalist’s cabinet. In the most remote shelves of the apothecary, hidden by the common eyes, sit the deadliest ingredients. Recently picked and hung to dry are some of the most poisonous plants like digitalis, belladonna and aconitum. They are almost ready to be turned into brews and potions. Scattered below are some more peculiar things, a crow’s skull, books about death, a pouch full of mysteries and a very scary bottle of human eyeballs that have been pickled like olives.
