HOBBIT HOUSE LOCKETS

​This necklace is not just a simple pendant and chain, but it is a real hobbit house. The Malachite doors in fact open up to reveal the inside of the house. There's a little fireplace to cozy up in front of, while reading one of the books in the nearby bookshelves.

LETTERBOX LOCKET

If your seeing this letter, well, it looks like you got mail from the woods. This is not any normal letter, this is a small locket (it's not air-thight) that you can use to contain small memorabilia, letters and messages dear to your heart.. etc. This letter features ivy all around and two mushrooms, adorned by some rocks and peridot crystals. 

MUSHROOM HOUSE LOCKET

This isn't just a simple mushroom house, nor it is a simple necklace. Upon entering this mushroom house, you will see it is the house of a witch, spell and magic books, a crystal ball, potions, candles and a cauldron. The outised, with the snail familiar, may look normal, altough the back is a bit like a medieval tower, but it isn't. This is a magical place. The roof is very fancy, it's made of red amber from the Dominican Republic. 

FAIRYTALE BOOK LOCKET *1

A fairytale book always starts with magical creatures. This fantasy book talks about unicorns, dragons and talking trees. The main character goes on a quest to find her place in the world, and encounters lots of interesting beings. I got inspired by the idea from watching (once again) the first Shrek movie. If you've seen it, you know the iconic first scene, where Shrek is in the toilet reading a fairytale book! The inside is actually inspired by it, with the dragon protecting the princess' tower. On the outside you'll find a unicorn together with an Australian opal, that encapsulates all the colors and magic of the creature that it sits next to. The back on the other hand features the girl walking in an enchanted forest, where she encounters giant, gentle, talking trees. The spine of the book is dotted with three more Australian opals.

MAGIC PORTAL LOCKET

• Doors have always been the face of portals through time and space. Well, this enchanted door with an opal doorknob is no stranger to it. Opening this up, you are launched through dimensions, and you find yourself in a crystal cave, where you stumble upon the infamous magical sword, Excalibur. On the other side of the cave, where the door you entered used to be, you find a portal in the shape of a keyhole with the whole universe inside, ready to take you anywhere in time and space. On the outside, there is a small australian opal from Coober Pedy as a doorknob of the door. While the inside of the piece, acting as a cave, is an agate geode.​

FRENCH CASTLE LOCKET

This castle sits on a 'mountain' of fluorite. This mineral specimen features light purple crystals of fluorite from France. The castle is also adorned in the back of the piece, where you encounter a wooden door locked by a pick. If you open, the message 'you are magic' awaits you. 

DRAGONS BOOK LOCKET

The front of the book features a medieval style sign, with letters cut out from a wooden plank. The dragon is adorned with a red baltic amber sitting on top of it, while all around there are garnets (four small stones). The back of the book represents a close up of one of the eyes of the dragon. The center of the eye is made of a deep-red garnet. All around there are hand-forged scales. Inside I've hand-carved the quote ''be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire'', and also hand forged a bonfire on the other side.

NARNIA'S WARDROBE LOCKET

You’re walking in the attic of an old house and you stumble upon a beautiful and decaying wardrobe, kind of forgotten there, as if it hasn't been opened in a while, there's vines covering the front and going between the wood of the wardrobe. Once you open it, you see that it is still full of coats and cloaks (made of brass and copper), and just after that, if you move them, you enter the world of Narnia, you recognize it right away by the iconic lamppost in the woods.
On the inside of the wardrobe, there are still objects left from the previous people that used it as a passage. The bow and arrows, the sword, the dagger .. they looks like the gifts that Father Christmas gave to the Pevensies. To corroborate this theory, in the back of the forniture, hidden by the occasional passerby, you find the four symbols of the crowns of the four newly crowned Narnia kings and queens.
As you can probably tell, this piece is inspired by the world of Narnia by C.S. Lewis.
As we first see in ' The lion, the witch and the wardrobe', the wardrobe in professor Kirke's house is a magical portal between earth and the world of Narnia. Below you can find more info on the details i included in the piece.

Details explanation:
Father Christmas gifts: Peter receives a sword and a shield. Susan receives a bow, arrows and a horn. Lucy gets a potion of magical, healing cordial and a small dagger.
In the movie, each Pevensie gets a unique crown: Peter's crown is made of oak leaves and acorns. Susan's crown is made of daffodils. Edmund's crown is made of birch leaves. Lucy's crown is made of laurel leaves and flowers.
The four stones: Each stone is the color of the cloaks the Pevensies we’re wearing when the got crowned.

LANTERN LOCKET

A simple lantern or a portal? Of course, it's a lantern-portal! This intricate lantern is adorned by shiny moonstones, and inside burns a candle, but not just a normal one, but a black candle made of tourmaline. In the back of the locket, we get another glimpse of this candle, and we see that it has carved a rune. The rune is algiz, to give the black candle even more protection power. When you open the locket, you're transported in the cosmos. Planets, stars and nebulas made of Australian opals, with amazing colors and patterns. Engraved is the quote ''per aspera ad astra'', to remind you every day of these important words. 

​FAIRYTALE BOOK LOCKET *2

Once upon a time.. The fae folk living near me were so kind as to create another new book locket for me, so that I could share it with you all. For the front of the book they decided to re-create the entrance to their world, a little doorknob made of opal, that if turned, will open a door to their realm. While on the back, they decide to include a small keyhole from which you can kind of glimpse inside of another time-line and epoque. The book is then bound together by the strength of one of their magical trees, that embraces and keeps together the pages. Once you open the locket, thanks to a magical dagger, you are launched into a fairy tale itself. You see a little dwarf finishing gemstones while sitting on a mushroom... If only it was that easy to find shiny garnets like that! But hey look! The fae folk not only created an amazing locket, they actually created a fairytale book locket to keep your own fairytale book! Yes, you're seeing this right, they included three handmade mini books where you can write your own story and keep it inside the locket. And just as every tale goes.. Once upon a time..

THE WITCH'S COTTAGE

Every creature needs its home. For the local forest's witch, it is this little cottage right here. Out in the deep forests sits this wooden house, with a cobblestone roof, and a small chimney. The walls are covered in ivy, climbing to every free surface they can find. In the back, you can also spot the witch’s familiar, a curious black cat. The main door is a heavy piece of wood, built from one of the nearby trees. The front also has small window in the shape of a crescent moon. The window has stained glass made of yellow amber, that shines a yellow glow inside the house when the light hits the right spot. The house also has a secret entrance, that’s right, if you look down the house, you will find a locket is there, that if opened, gives you a glimpse of the inside. You can use it to store little keepsakes of secret messages.

A BOOK-WORM ACORN HOUSE

Deep in the woods, there are mystical ancient oak trees that produce the most magical and gigantic acorns you have ever seen. In the past few centuries, the fruits of these oak trees have served as houses for the little creatures of the forest. A few of these creatures really made themselves comfortable in these acorn houses. There's one in the acorn village, famous for its style. Decorated with bookcases as tall as the ceiling, the little space left on the wall is taken by antique paintings and small plants, the ceiling light is also made from stone and it’s amber! It's rumored that the critter living there is a literal book-worm, passing its days reading on the sofa near the fireplace, oh to live such a cozy life! This locket has been cast from a real life acorn collected by me​.

THE ACORN STASH LOCKET

''Mighty oaks from little acorns grow''. That’s what is engraved inside the stash acorn necklace I was gifted by the forests’ people. A tiny treasure forged in silver from the tiny people living amongst the trees. A little locket to keep the memories and mementos of my adventures. This acorn is solid and sturdy, If features inside a small Baltic amber stone.

THE POISON GARDEN

‘The Poison Garden’ is a unique piece that features a gate that, like a portal, transports you to the deadliest section of the botanic garden. It is protected by silver gates, covered in Datura plants, that like guards, they try to ward off the inexpert curious eyes. Although the side walls are covered in tiny wisteria blossoms, the back wall of the garden reminds us of its deadly contents, with Datura covered walls and the carved inscription ‘’mors vincit omnia’’. Inside there’s Arum Italicum, convallaria majalis (lily of the valley), belladonna, aconite and digitalis. There are also a few books about herbs, plants and poison-making, perhaps that’s what’s inside the little glass bottles scattered around. This piece was inspired by the Alnwick poison garden and its gates. The piece is adorned by two stunning moonstones.

DEADLY PLANTS BOOK

This book locket features an array of hand sawn and hand carved details. 'Deadly Plants' is the title of the book and all around it has datura growing, while on the bottom there are several potion bottles. The spine has intricate details with Digitas, a skull and a tiny moonstone. On the back is growing belladonna with tiny amethyst flowers. When you open the locket, you can read the quote from Macbeth: ''Look like th' innocent flower, but be the serpent under't''. Inside you find a tiny blank book wrapped in velvet, ready for you to write your thoughts in.

CARNIVOROUS PITCHER PLANT

This locket was inspired by the pitcher plants, a family of plants that are carnivorous. Yu can open the locket by lifting the top, and you find a beautiful green amber stone. The locket is closed thanks to two tiny magnets. The locket stays closed and is perfect for normal day use (beware, if you start jumping in a moshpit or go bunjee jumping, it will open).

THE COLLECTOR'S LUGGAGE  LOCKET

​A locket necklace shaped like a late 1960's luggage. With flowers, travel patches and art-nouveau inspired motifs. The luggage is opened by the clasps on the side. Once opened you can find a full crystal collection. These is: Herkimer diamond, amethyst, grape agate, iolite, sapphire, apatite, chrome dioptase, emerald, peridot, pink tourmaline, watermelon tourmaline, citrine quartz, carnelian, baltic amber, ammonite fossil, garnet, pyrite, spessartine garnet and sunstone.

MINERALOGY BOOK LOCKET

This necklace is shaped like a book. Outside in the front there are tiny crystals that i hand-cut and engraved with details. The back on the other hand featres a landscape inspired by the motifs of late 60s medieval renaissance and psychedelia. The rainbow features garnet, carnelian, yellow sapphire, peridot, blue sapphire and amethyst. Once the book locket is  opened, you can read the tiny quote ''I am one with the universe and the universe is in me''. Inside you can find: pyrite, herkimer diamond, apatite, aquamarine, ammonite, baltic amber, peridot, emerald, rhodolite garnet, red garnet, spessartine garnet, carnelian.
