'Meriggio D'Oro' Purple Labradorite Necklace
The garden scene in Alice, when the flowers chant ‘’All in the golden afternoon’’ (aka ‘Meriggio D’Oro in Italian) has always been one of my favourite scenes in Alice. The flowers are literally iconic, the daisy, the pansies and the cute daffodil!! I had to include the ‘’Panfarfalla’’ (Italian for Butterfly bread) and the ‘’Dondolibellula’’ (Italian for the dragonfly rocking horse). The stone use for this piece is a flashy purple labradorite that varies in intensity depending on how the light hits the stone.
The chain is 44cm long.
The pieces have been oxydized for extra contrast.
The pieces are stamped with my maker mark and 925 mark.
All of the stones used in my pieces are all natural unless stated.
Every piece is entirely made by me using metalsmithing techniques in my studio in Italy.
