The entrance to the underworld’ features a stunning and very unusual stone that’s very rarely used in jewelry, it’s pirolusite from Spain that has been sliced and polished on the front. This stone is a shiny grey color in the front, that depending on where the light hits it, it will show a wavy pattern.This piece has been heavily inspired by my visit to the medieval cemetery in Bologna, the entrance and the statues (like the one holding the chalice exist in real life!!)

The necklace chain is 46cm long.
 
The piece has been oxydized for extra contrast.
The piece is stamped with my maker's mark and 925 mark.
 
All of the stones used in my pieces are all natural unless stated.
Every piece is entirely made by me using metalsmithing techniques in my studio in Italy.
