Tourmalines are divided in 11 different types depending on their properties and chemical composition. Tourmaline crystals of just one single colour are rare as even slight variations in the gemstone’s composition cause completely different colours to appear. In fact, most tourmaline deposits are found in veins that run through rocks, which were created by molten magma from volcanoes. As the magma cooled, large cracks formed, which were filled with a solution of water and minerals such as iron, lithium or manganese that, over time, turned into crystals of tourmaline and other stones. It is these trace elements that give tourmalines their vivid colours, ranging from red, green and blue to yellow and orange.

Things you should consider when choosing your size:

* Allow enough room to accommodate your knuckle (I suggest to measure your finger and also the knuckle, and choose a size in between, otherwise the ring won’t pass the knuckle or it will be too loose)

* Bear in mind, different fingers on the same and the opposite hand may have different sizes (the hand with which you write is usually bigger). Therefore, measure the specific finger on which you are planning to wear the ring. Also, your hands are affected by temperature so sometimes your hands are bigger when it’s hotter!

* If you are ''diy measuring'' your size: don’t forget that a piece of string/paper may feel comfortable, but a piece of metal may not, so if you’re not sure, go to a professional jeweler and get your ring seized for free

All of the stones used in my pieces are all natural unless stated.

Every piece is entirely made by me using metalsmithing techniques in my studio in Italy.

The package will arrive to your home already wrapped and ready for a gift.
